A long-time dream of the Bolton Community Action Site (BCAS) and the Albion-Bolton Historical Society was realized in September with the completion of the Humber River Heritage Park. Nestled on the south bank of the Humber, on the west side of Queen Street, the focal point of this pretty resting spot is a pavilion with some very special panels.
Representing extensive work by local historians Heather Broadbent and Carole Whitehead the panels tell the story of the Humber River in Bolton. Together with other BCAS members (Chair) Jerry Gorman, Bill Wilson and Ian Ford, this dedicated group is to be commended for their vision to enhance our experience of the Humber River in our community.
We invite you to celebrate the Official Opening with us at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday October 26th. This will be family-friendly event and includes a birds of prey exhibit and demonstration by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA). The Humber River Heritage Park was conceived by the Bolton Community Action Site and funded by the Town of Caledon, Region of Peel and the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
